Working out Wind Direction

Weather vanes have a pointer which tells you where the wind is coming from. There are usually the four points of the compass marked to help work out which direction it is pointing to. If it is pointing half way between two of the markers we use the two directions combined. Between north and east is called northeast. This is recorded on the data collection sheet as NE for short. This test is more difficult than in real life as you cannot move you head around to check which way the arrow is pointing. Do your best.
